PLAY BATTLEFIELD 2 WITH ZERO (0) BOTS TUTORIAL

Tired of those "How to Play with 255 Bots" Tutorials? You're Not Alone! Here's how to play solo only with zero bots. No bots only, no annoying tankers or shooting.

Let's face it, folks. Sometimes you just want to conquer the Battlefield solo or write your own story like roleplaying as a schizophrenic chad. Ya, very funny because I got that in real life but that's not my problem. The problem is every online guide seems obsessed with maxing out the bots. (Seriously, who even needs 255?)

Well, fret no more, fellow lone wolf! This guide is for the discerning gamer who craves a single-player Battlefield experience.

Two Paths to Battlefield Nirvana:

Solution 1: The (Slightly Frustrating) BF2 SP Bot Changer

This nifty mod (you'll have to do some quick searching on ModDB, no linking allowed here, sorry) lets you unleash an army of bots... or, more importantly, completely remove them. Just set it to zero and enjoy the desolate beauty of the battlefield. The entire area is up for you to explore!

Heads up: This method can be a bit finicky. Changing the bot count back and forth might leave you stuck with one pesky AI companion. At least that's whay I got, even reinstalling everything didn't helped. But don't you worry, there's another way!

Solution 2: Embrace the File Editing Shenanigans

Ready to get your hands dirty? Navigate to your game directory (good luck with all those folders!). Look for the "mods" folder and then the gloriously named "AIBotChanger" file. Right-click that bad boy and make sure it's not on read-only mode.

Now, the magic happens. Open the file and find the line that says "aiSettings.setMaxNBots (some bloody numbers here)". Replace these numbers with a big, fat zero. Save the file, pat yourself on the back, and launch the game.

Voila! You're the king (or queen) of an empty battlefield.

Bonus Tip: If you tried the BF2 SP Bot Changer first, you might want to remove it before using this method.

Now go forth and conquer or just explore the vast emptiness of Battlefield 2!
Or play the same empty area until you start to feel somebody is watching you from the corners of the buildings. Then you would start to go insane step by step thanks to your schizophrenia. Finally, you would lose your life there, in dark, horror and loneliness.
